Personal Statement

I have always been fascinated by the role of blood in health and disease.  As a hematologist, I specialize in caring for patients with non-malignant bleeding disorders. These include conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, anemia, thrombocytopenia and rare blood disorders. I also have a special interest in women’s health and hematology, and believe strongly in collaborative multidisciplinary care. My goal is to help patients understand their condition, receive the most effective and evidence-based treatment, and feel supported during their care.
